  • Participation & Attendance: While there will not be a specific attendance requirement, a number of activities in class will count towards the participation component. 15 % of grade
    The evaluation of this course component will include your participation in class discussion and activities, including the writing and posting of your questions for class discussion [as assigned], the leading of the class discussion based on your questions and appropriate contributions to the discussion board topics.
  • 2 Essays [4-5 pages each]  30% of grade [15% each]
  • Midterm: 25% of grade [ in class February 10, 2011]
  • Essay based on your visit to the Art Institute of Chicago: on your own --  Due one week after your visit  Visits may start any time AFTER the Midterm -- [2- 3 pages] 10% of grade
  • FINAL EXAM: 20% of grade [Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm]
    • Online Part I: available on blackboard late Friday, March 3, 2011 and DUE by 11:30pm Sunday, March 13, 2011
    • Part II: available as a substitute for AIC visit if and only if you present your professor with a legitimate reason, other than inertia. If permitted, it will count 10% towards your grade. Questions are HERE.
